We have jobs available! If you would like to take an active role in the production of "Gaia" then please e-mail Ben at benseekacrowle@gmail.com, and express your interest for any of the positions listed below.

Animator x2 - You will be responsible for working with the animation team to deliver the director's vision for the animated segments of "Gaia".

Room Recordist and/or Boom Operator - You will join us on set to take room recordings and operate the boom mic during shooting on location at Parliament House.

Production Designer - You will work with the director in order to source props, constumes, make-up etc, in order to assist the director in acheiving the overall "look" for the film she envisions.

Art Department Assistant - You will assist the Production Designer should other tasks require their more immediate attention.

Video and Audio Data Wrangler - On set you will be responsible for loading all the visual and audio data onto a storage device and backing it up multiple times for use by the editor during post-production.

Clapper - On set you utilise the clapperboard to keep record of takes, and to assist camera and sound crew in ensuring sound is synchronised to visual.

1st AC (Assistant Cinematographer) - On set you assist the cinematographer with setting up lighting and camera equipment.

Best Boy - On set you assis the cinematographer with setting up lighting equipment.

Continuity Script Supervisor - You are responsible for ensuring that all takes have accurate continuity to avoid errors during post-production.

Colour Corrector - During post-production you will be responsible for assisting the director in acheiving her vision through colour.

 

Funding and Events

Just like any film, "Gaia" requires money to be made. Out budget counts for the locations of Parliament House, Old Treasury, Melbourne University and Swinburne University Green Screen studio ($2000), Equipment ($1000), Marketing and Distribution ($1000), and more. Legal requirements such as OHS and catering are also budgeted for, and our current budget stands at around $8000. To donate, please follow the below link to our Pozible campaign!

A "Gaia" Sausage Sizzle will be held at Swinburne University's Hawthorn campus on the 11th of September from 11:00 to 4:00. We will be selling Sausages, drinks and badges with one of the two designs featured below!
